WELCOME TO SHRI SUMANBHAI RANGJIBHAI BHABHOR ARTS COLLEGE,SINGVAD

The college offers SIX main subjects in the Arts Faculty – Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Sociology and History. English is also taught as a compulsory subject in all the classes as per the syllabus of Shri Govind Guru University. Today there are sixteen subjects that are taught here with six Departments in UG and three departments in PG. We have six principal subjects, three Elective I subjects and three Elective II subjects in UG. We also have two compulsory subjects as per the guidelines of the university curricula. English compulsory is taught in all the semesters whereas Sanskrit Compulsory is taught only in Semester I and II. Foundation and Soft Skills are taught in all the semesters and are chosen by the students from the subject list provided by the university as per the CBCS Guidelines. In PG programmes we have three principal subject viz., Gujarati, Sanskrit and English.

  • To make use of latest technology and teaching gadgets for making education more approachable and interesting.
  • To provide well-maintained and disciplined college environment.
  • To provide rich library and computer laboratory with wi-fi campus.
  • To nourish the natural talent of students with extra-curricular activities .
  • To make local community aware of the local and global issues and teach them to come out from the same.
  • To offer more principal subjects at graduate level and post graduate level in Arts, in order to enhance talents and employability in an increasingly globalised competitive scenario
  1. To develop the knowledge of different branches of Higher learning in relation to the different domains and their applications.
  2. The prime objects of the College shall be to create excellence in the aforesaid areas in particular and other objects shall be as follows, namely:-
  3. To disseminate, create and preserve knowledge and understanding by teaching;
  4. To introduce and nurture innovations in the existing education system through CBCS and interdisciplinary, skill based approach so as to reflect spiritual knowledge, intellect and creativity;
  5. To disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional facilities in tribal art, culture, tradition, language, medicinal systems, customs, forest based economic activities, and advancement in technologies relating to the natural resources of the tribal areas;
  6. To take appropriate measures for promoting the members of tribal communities capable of managing, administering and looking after their own needs by access to higher education through a college of their own.
  1. Make good quality higher education within the reach of the common people of Singvad and the surrounding villages in this tribal region at affordable cost.
